Robert McDaniel is currently a Senior Fellow at the Center for Disaster Risk Policy, Florida State University. Through FSU, Mr. McDaniel provides operations, planning, training and exercise expertise in emergency management on local, state, federal and non-profit agency projects. Mr. McDaniel, a graduate of the prestigious Askew School of Public Administration, also instructs in FSU’s Emergency Management and Homeland Security academic program as well as supplying technical assistance in Domestic Security/Preparedness while specializing in Exercise Design/Development and Bio-Terrorism response nationally. Having previously served in operations, training, exercises and evaluations with the United States Air Force, Florida Division of Emergency Management, Florida Department of Health, St. Petersburg College and several private consulting firms, Mr. McDaniel has actively participated in hundreds of crisis situations and held command staff positions during several major disasters
