Austin Bush is a Researcher for the Emergency Management and Homeland Security program at FSU. Before working with EMHS, Austin worked as an instructor for the Department of Geography at FSU. He currently holds a B.A. in Geography (2015), as well as a M.S. in Geography (2018) from Auburn University. In addition to working for EMHS, Austin is also an active PhD student in Geography at FSU.
Austin is particularly interested in researching the effective integration of small unmanned aircraft systems with disaster risk planning in developing contexts. His interests in understanding geographic phenomena in developing regions, such as the effect of rapid urbanization or poor developmental planning, intersect with many of his interests in public safety and emergency management.Faculty and Staff
